Changes For 2010

Bull Rider

The Stampede has made some changes this year. The Stampede has felt the tough economic times just like the entire county. As a Board we knew we had to make changes, so that we could stay viable, move into the future, and give back to the community and other non-profits; which is now and has always been, our reason for producing the event. We looked at what people liked, and what was well attended and put together our new schedule: Wacky Ribbon Playday, Kick-Off Party and Santiam Championship Bull Riding.

We know we couldn’t do the Stampede without our sponsors, volunteers, the community, and the fans, so we want to thank all of you for your help! We look forward to your continued support in the future! We strive to thank people properly each and every year. We do that because it means the world to us to have all of your support! It’s the only way we can keep giving back to all of you that support us!

Santiam Championship Bull Riding

Santiam Championship Bull Riding

The SCS Rodeo Board is excited to be bringing the “Santiam Championship Bull Riding” to the Stampede. Top riders from the North West region to Texas will be competing for the title of “Champion.” Competitors, Title Holders and Champions, from numerous rodeo associations will all be vying for the title. They will be competing for the opportunity to be called, Santiam Bull Riding “Champion.” When the winner is crowned, they will earn the Title, a “Gist Brand” award buckle, a Les Schwab Tire Certificate, and let’s not forget the prize money.

With professional animal athletes to compete on, the cowboy’s athleticism will be tested! At the “Santiam Championship Bull Riding” the riders will not only need to focus on the animal athletes but the cowboy athletes they will be competing against, that is; if they want to win the title of “Champion.”

2010 Bull Riding Entry Form is available.

Mutton Busting

Registration opens July 6th 2010 at Clippers Unlimited in Stayton OR. It normally fills up fast and will close as soon as it fills. This is the rodeo event where future Champions are made. Cowboys and cowgirls from age 3 to 6 will settle in, hold on tight and nod to open the gate; in hopes of out lasting the sheep and the other competitor. Their dream is to stay on the longest and win the coveted Championship Buckle.
