10 Digit Dialing Setup For Windows 95/98 (Simple Method)
September 2000.

1. Navigate to your Windows desktop. 2. Double click the My Computer icon and then double-click the Dial-Up Networking icon. 3. Next, using the right mouse button click once on your WVI connection icon. 4. On the resulting context menu left click Properties. 5. Insert the area code, 503, before the current phone number. 6. Be sure the check box "Use country code and area code" or "Use country code and dialing properties" is NOT checked.

That's it! You are now configured for 10-digit dialing.

10 Digit Dialing Setup For Windows 95/98
September 2000.

Navigate to your Windows desktop. Double click the My Computer icon and then double-click the Dial-Up Networking icon. You should have a window similar to the following:

Double-click your WVI Connection icon. You should see this:


Click the Dial Properties button. You'll now see:

Note the Number to be dialed at the bottom. Click the Area Code Rules button. You'll be presented with:

Check the box Always dial the area code (10 digit dialing) and click OK. You will be taken back to the Dialing Properties windowYour screen should look like this:

Note the Number to be dialed now is a 10 digit number. Click OK and you are ready to connect using 10 digit dialing.
