10 Digit Dialing Setup For MacOS 8.0 and Above

  1. Click on the Apple menu.
  2. Click on Control Panels.
  3. Click on Remote Access.
  4. Uncheck the option titled DialAssist.
  5. Click in the beginning of the telephone number box and add the area code 503 in front of the number currently listed.
  6. Click on the square box in the upper-left corner of the window to close this screen.
  7. When a dialog box appears that asks if you wish to save these changes, click on Save.

    8. Your computer should now be configured to use 10 digit dialing.
