Cortina's old railroad station, now the bus station
On Tuesday we decided to spend the day in Cortina with a tram trip up one of the mountains and a visit to the bicycle shop. I bought a saddle cover at the shop. Scott recommended a cover might help my problems with my saddle. I had never used a cover and at $5, I thought it worth a try. Turns out it caused more grief and I packed it away after about 30 miles of use. We visited the Cicli Cortina and found it to be a nice bike shop. They had several good bikes and equipment in stock. Scott bought a saddle for future use.
We walked around town and took one of the trams up to a ski area. It was fun to hike for our exercise and enjoy fantastic views. The restaurants were a bit expensive, but the food excellent. Cortina appears to be a vacation mecca with many guests using it as a base to explore the Dolomites.
