Lyons, Oregon is nestled in the Santiam Valley at the foot of the Cascade Mountains, with a population of 1300 and growing. There are a couple of small shops nearby for daily needs and an elementary school. Main shopping is at Stayton Oregon 9 miles west towards Salem. Stayton has two large grocery stores, department stores and many small shops. There are two high schools and a Community College extension. Salem is 25 miles and the capitol of Oregon. Most anything needed can be found there.

The coast of the Pacific ocean is 65 miles west and great snow skiing at Hoodoo 60 miles east. Big Cliff and Detroit lakes are 20 miles up the Santiam Valley. Stayton Golf Club is a 10 minute drive for playing 18 holes and they've opened a new restaurant. Stayton also has a newly renovated library, a movie theater and public indoor swimming pool.

The house is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, on fenced .85 acres in a newly developed area. There is a new access gate in the back for a tractor and a small access gate in the corner for access to the main road sidewalk. The new full-service post office is very close and convenient, about a one minute walk. Santiam River is a 1/4 mile walk with terrific Steelhead and Salmon fishing, kyaking and driftboat fishing.
