Here are some more images of the surrounding area. In Lyons there is a campground called John Neal Park next to the Santiam River. There is a series of year-round beaver ponds with a relaxing walking path between them and through the woods where one can see an occasional beaver, ducks, rabbit, bullfrogs. In the top most big pond there are geese, ducks, and fishing for bass and bluegill. The view of the hills from the neighborhood or anywhere in town is wonderful. There is a new full-service post office with friendly staff and a new fire station with ambulance for emergency needs. Stayton Hospital is close by.
