HISTORY
The Parmachene Belle was first tied in 1878 for fishing in the Rangely Region of Western Maine by Ray Bergman. Its name comes from
Lake Parmachenee, in northern Oxford County. It is thought that it was created to imitate a brook trout fin, a popular bait of the time.
