HISTORY

The Rackelhanen was developed in the 1960's during a hatching of caddis in Vännån river located on the border between the counties of Kronoberg and Halland in Sweden. The fish were very selective on a caddis hatch and wouldn't take the pupa, nor would they take the fully hatched fly on the surface.

The Rackenhanen fly solved this problem. Fished on or near the surface, this fly is very effective.
