Jeff Huddleston Memorial Scholarship Float Trip 2007

Twenty-four qualifying seniors from Stayton High School
prepare to depart for the 2007 scholarship float trip on the Deschutes river.
The float
is modeled after the educational trips developed in the mid 80's by Jeff
Huddleston for students at Stayton High School. The trip, lead by
brothers Jim and Jon Huddleston, is designed to teach leadership skills, self
awareness and respect for the river and natural environment.
This 12th year scholarship trip will represent the 22nd consecutive year that
Stayton High School students have participated on an
educational river trip. At the conclusion of the trip one or two students will
also be selected for monetary college scholarships.
