Las Vegas, NV. –
David, 61, died December 22 in Stayton. He was born in Del Rio,
TX. and grew up there. He has lived in Las Vegas for the past 33
years. David served in the US Army as a Sergeant from 1967-1973
and was honorably discharged after serving 2 tours of duty in
the Vietnam War. He served with the 34th and 24th infantry
division, and received the National defense medal, Vietnam
service medal, combat infantry badge, 2 overseas service bars
and the bronze star medal w/”V” device. David worked for
over 30 years as a hotel floor supervisor. He enjoyed flower
gardens, working on his trucks, and his tatoo’s.
David married Linda
Sexton on August 28, 1977 in Las Vegas, NV. He is survived by
his wife Linda of Las Vegas, NV; Sons: Nicholas Sanchez of
Stayton and David H. Sanchez Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; Sisters:
Lilly of Dallas, TX, and
Lupe of Somerset, TX. and
his 3 grandchildren Halie, Michael, and Justine, whom he loved
spending time with and was a wonderful grandfather too.
Memorial Service will
be held Saturday, January 3, 2009 in Las Vegas, NV. Serving the
