Henry “Lois” Wilson
January 20, 1923 – December 18, 2008


Sublimity – Lois, 85, died Thursday in Sublimity. She was born in Duncan, Oklahoma and grew up there. Lois moved to Oregon in the 1940’s, where she worked at the Paris Woolen Mill in Stayton. She married John C. Wilson on January 10, 1948 in McMinnville, he preceded her in death on December 25, 2007.

Lois was a lover of the God of Creation, among the things she enjoyed most were, beach combing, bird watching, hiking, camping and late night talks. She had time for people, she refused to speak badly of a person. Lois loved children and poured her life into them. She was the mother of 4 sons and wife of a career sailor-soldier. Lois lived well and died well. She did as much good as she could for as long as she could. Lois is absent from the body but present with the Lord Jesus. God is good and his promises are good. 

She lived in Albany and Waldport for many years before moving to Sublimity 6 years ago. Lois was a member of the 1st Baptist church of Waldport. She is survived by sons and daughter in laws: Jim and Diana Wilson of West Linn and Gordon and Martha Wilson of Stayton, and son Kelly Wilson of Noble, Oklahoma. Grandchildren -7 and great-grandchildren – 12. She was preceded in death by a son: Albert Lynn Wilson in 1973.

Viewing will be Monday, December 22, 2008 from 12-5 PM at North Santiam Funeral Service in Stayton. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Foothills Church in Stayton.
