Mill City – Angie
crossed over on Monday, September 21, 2009 at the age of 72.
Angie was pre-deceased by her husband, Wesley Fretter in January
of 2008. Angie was born in 1937 in Westfield, Iowa, the youngest
of 11 children, daughter of Louis and Lucille Bertrand of Salix,
Iowa.
Angie graduated from
Salix High School in 1955, married Jerry Jolin in September
1955, lived in Sioux City, and Des Moines, IA. They moved to
California in 1960. Divorced in 1972. In 1980 Angie married
Wesley Fretter in Palos Verdes, CA. During her lifetime she
enjoyed a career in Dancing, Advertising, and working side by
side with her son, Rick Jolin, in the Insurance Business. Upon
Retirement in 2005, Angie and her husband Wesley moved to the
beautiful Pacific Northwest, Mill City, OR.
Survivors include her
children from her marriage to Jerry Jolin – daughter, Debra
Rickard of Temecula, CA. ; son: Rick Jolin of Detroit and 4
granddaughters: Deana, Dawn, Dilyn and Darah Rickard. In
addition there were 4 step-children and their families. Angie is
also survived by brothers: Louis “Sonny” Bertrand of Des
Moines, IA., Lionel Bertrand of Shelbina, Missouri, and Harold
Bertrand of Mexico, Missouri; Sister: Shirley Erlandson of Rapid
City, South Dakota.
Angie loved being from
a a large family where there was always something going on and
the whole family was musical from which she inherited her
musical/dancing talent. Angie loved to dance and whenever there
was music playing she was up dancing. Next to dancing her most
challenge and fun was working with her son Rick. Angie loved
being a mother and grandmother above all. At her request there
will be no services. Serving the family North
