Leland Leslie Good
September 9, 1925 – November 23, 2009

Sublimity- Leland Leslie Good passed away peacefully at Marian Estates Retirement Home on November 23, 2009, where he had been a resident for the final two and a half years of his life.

Leland was born in Kansas City, Kansas and grew up in Webb City, Missouri. He moved to Oregon in 1948 and served in the Korean War from 1951-1953. He married Dorothy Ellen Miller on August 8, 1957 in Stevenson, WA. They have three children; Curtis Good (Sublimity, OR), Calvin Good (Wilsonville, OR), and Carla (Good) Lyles married to Marty Lyles (Aumsville, OR). He is also survived by two siblings; Lucille Kennedy of Joplin, MO and Lyle Good of Webb City, MO, as well as numerous nieces and nephews in the Northwest and Missouri.

Leland spent twenty years driving logging truck for various companies until 1968 when he went to work for Mari-Linn school district as a bus fleet mechanic/ driver and custodian. Beginning in 1977, he worked for Freres Lumber Co., where he remained until retirement in 1992.

Leland was a man of great character and a devoted family man. Family get-togethers were always a source of enjoyment for him. He also enjoyed classic cars as well as reading a good Western novel.

A private burial service was held on November 25, at Fox Valley Cemetery in Lyons, OR. A public memorial service will be held from 1pm-5pm on Saturday, January 16, 2010, in Maurice’s Bistro at Marian Estates Retirement Community, 390 Church St. SE
