Kathy R. Hilton
June 4, 1928 – October 26, 2009


Salem – Kathy, 81, died Monday in Keizer. She was born in Silverton and grew up on the family dairy farm at Thomas Creek. Kathy lived most of her adult life in Salem. She worked for over 25 years as an Inventory Controller at Salem Steel. She was a member of the Jefferson Baptist Church, the Eagles Lodge and North Santiam Sportsman Club. Kathy enjoyed fishing, camping, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She was a dedicated Mother and homemaker, a great family person who enjoyed taking care of her family, and was known for her “world famous” potato salad and apple pie.

Kathy met her soul mate late in life and lived happily ever after. Kathy married Ron Hilton on September 15, 1980 in Tahoe, Nev. She is survived by her husband: Ron of Salem; Daughters: Diane (Steve) Stump of Portland & Linda (Doug) Moran of Tigard; Son: Bob (Tricia) Smith of Salem; Brother: LeRoy (Diane) Johnson of Scio; Brother-in-law: Stanley (Betty) Hilton of Aumsville; Sister-in-law: Sharon (Floyd) Durkee of Stayton; Step-children: Linda (Steve) Calavan of Sisters, Sandi (Brent) Hiatt of Sublimity and Glenn (Andrea) Hilton of Stayton; 23 – Grandchildren and 18 – Great-grandchildren. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents: Sander & Florence Johnson, Sister: Delores Wagner and brother: Wallace  Johnson.

Celebration of Life on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Sundial Center in Salem. Private Interment Belcrest Memorial Park, Salem. Serving the family North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
