Fossil – Bette, 85,
died Saturday, December 12 in Turner. She was born in Marion
County. Bette grew up in Hubbard on a pioneer farm that her family
homesteaded, the Stauffer/Will farm that donated a 3 story log
cabin to the Aurora Historical Society and graduated from the
White School in Hubbard. She lived in South Salem and the Portland
area for many years, living in Boring and Estacada until moving to
the Spray-Fossil area 25 years ago.
Bette enjoyed fishing,
the outdoors, camping, hunting, sewing, writing, making things for
her grandchildren and being a caretaker for anyone who needed it.
She married Richard Lutz Sr. on June 5, 1942 in Vancouver, WA., he
preceded her in death on July 31, 1966. Bette is survived by her
sons: Richard Lutz Jr. of Turner, Mike Lutz of Pine Hollow, Scott
Lutz of Stayton and Terry Lutz of Ontario; Daughter: Christie
Randall of Baker City. 17 – Grandchildren, 29 –
great-grandchildren and 3 – Great-great-grandchildren. She
is preceded in death by daughter: Faye Sperb and son Gerry

Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM
at North Marion Community Church in Aurora. Private
interment in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Serving the
