DALLAS – Louise Rose
(Minten) Mohr, born October 12, 1924 to Henry and Magdalene
Minten, loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and
friend peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at Salem
Hospital in Salem, Oregon, on May 3, 2009.
Louise worked on her
parents’ farm with her four older children, Jim, Anita, Billy
and Sharon and was employed by the former Paris Woolen Mill.
She married William Mohr on August 25, 1956.
From that marriage they had five more children: Lola,
Mike, Sandy, Cindy and Brian.
We lived in: Stayton, Lyons, Portland, Woodburn and
Detroit over the years. They managed and operated the Stayton
Bowling Alley, until we moved to Detroit, Oregon in the fall of
William worked at the
Idanha Lumber Mill until he died from cancer in 1978 and Louise
continued to live in Detroit until she moved to Stayton in 2004.
In 2007, Sandy and her husband Kelly decided in-home care
necessary with her health steadily declining.
Anita, Sharon and Brian traveled to Dallas to help when
they could in relieving Sandy and Kelly.
Louise was preceded in
death by her sister Juanita, son William “Billy” Johnson
(Vietnam War Veteran), father and mother, husband William Mohr,
brother Ed and (Dorothy) Minten and Donnie Minten. She
is survived by: Brothers and
and Ed Hughes, Cletus (Betty) Minten, Bernie (Mary) Minten,
Patty and (Dave) Fairbanks, Mary Ann (Ray) Wold, Allen (Jan)
Minten. Children: Jim
(Nadine) Johnson, Anita (Frank) Yates, Sharon (Jack) Barton,
Lola (Dennis) Benton, Mike (Keri) Mohr, Sandy (Kelly) Wilhite,
Cindy (Steve) Higginbotham and Brian Mohr. Grandchildren:
Tami Jenkins, Jeff & Lachelle Johnson,
Kristie Johnson-Wilder and husband Vincent Wilder, Rhonda
Walker, Lorie Schiewek, Jamie Johnson, and children Holly
and Randy Bergdahl and son, Mike and Patty Yates, Jerry Yates
Glen Hiebert, Angie Goettsch and daughters,
Mary Sampson and sons Matthew (Mary)
Benton and Jennifer (Jason) Dent Josh
Mohr and Tashina (Joe) Nightingale. Great

nieces and nephews.

Services will be at Immaculate Conception Church, 1077 N. 6th
Avenue, Stayton. Rosary, May 7, 2009
at 7:00p.m. Funeral Mass, May 8,
2009 at 11:00a.m.
after Mass Service at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
