Frank Taylor was born on April 6, 1917 near Stayton, Oregon at the
home place on Fern Ridge Road to his parents Joe and Elsie (Jeter)
Taylor. He attended school at Oak Glen school house on Fern Ridge.
He was self-employed for many years with his mowing and
rotor tilling business, and worked as a farm hand most of his
adult life. He often
spoke of the work in the berry fields and the orchards.
could often be found reading his Bible. He also had a love for
involvement with activities at the church, or with the Santiam
Historical Society, is recalled by his friends.
The monthly celebration lunches with the “Senior Group”
at the Stayton Christian Church were special events for him as
well. He will be
missed by his friends, and his “critters”.
His love for cats gave him great pleasure, and brought many
other critters to his door seeking a meal.
passed from this life on March 13, 2009 to receive his reward from
Jesus, the One he knew as the Good Shepherd and Savior of his
soul. Though Glenn
had no immediate family, he was cared for as a son would his
father by his good friend and neighbor George Susbauer. A memorial
service will be held in Glenn’s honor at 11 a.m. on Saturday,
March 28, 2009 at the Christian Church located at 189 East
Washington Street, in Stayton. Arrangements by North
