Lyons – Clarence,
72, died Thursday in Lyons. He was born in Coos Bay. Clarence
grew up in Oregon City, he lived in Canby and Madras before
moving to Lyons, 21 years ago. He served in the US Army during
Korea and Vietnam. Clarence drove long haul truck for over 20
years. While living in Madras he drove school bus for 12 years.
Later, while in Lyons he worked as a Hyster driver for Shaniko.
hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his grandkids.
He married Carol Jackson on January 6, 1962 in Vancouver, WA.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Children: Eva Williams of
Tennessee, Harold Wallace of Molalla, Howard Wallace of Alaska,
Kim Bonney of Beavercreek, Brenda Flande of Susanville, CA.
Riley Wallace of Culver, Gwen Wallace of Lyons, Phyllis
Wallace-Hays of Mill City, Molly Hochhalter of Oregon City
and Carol Ann Gil of Independence; Sisters: Fay Layton of Oregon
City and Rosemary McDonald of Myrtle Point.
Grandchildren – 34 and Great-grandchildren – 10.
He was preceded in death by a son: Clarence
R. Wallace Jr., 2 grandsons: Isaac and little Vern. and one
great-granddaughter – Madison.
Services will be
Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 2:00 PM at New Hope Community Church
in Stayton. Interment will be in Fox Valley Cemetery in Lyons.
