Rudolph “Rudy” P. Wellbrock
February 27, 1933 – March 22, 2009


Turner – Rudy, 76, died Sunday in Salem. He was born in Corvallis, and lived mostly in the Salem area until moving to Turner in 1966. Rudy graduated from Salem High School. Rudy was an Eagle Scout.  He served in the Oregon National Guard during the Korean War and Vietnam War and retired from the military. Rudy took short term mission trips to the Philippines, Tanzania, and Paraguay, he also distributed supplies for many other mission trips. He served on the Marion School board. He enjoyed hunting, gun collecting, gold mining, camping in eastern Oregon, and was a hobby mechanic who enjoyed rebuilding cars.  He taught hunter safety classes. Rudy was a member of the South Salem Church of the Nazarene and was a big supporter of Upward Bound. He worked as a cartographer for ODOT for 37 years. 

Rudy married Aline Mullins on September 5, 1953 in Salem. He is survived by his wife; Daughters: Deanna Geiter of Denver, CO. and Patie Taylor of Turner; Sons: Dennis Wellbrock of Scio and Michael Wellbrock of Salem; Brother: Bill Holmberg of VA. Sisters: Shirl Earnhart of Canby, Georgie Brewer of Port Orchard, WA., Elaine Simmons of Salem and Ruby Wellbrock of Seattle, WA. 16 – Grandchildren and 4 – Great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 4:00 PM at the South Salem Church of the Nazarene 1661 Boone Rd. Salem. Private Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Contributions may be made to Upward Bound. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
