Sublimity – Amy, 68,
passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 in Salem. She was born July
17, 1942 in Coos Bay. Amy married Robert Gillaspie, the light of
her life, on January 17, 2005 in Reno, NV. She is survived by her
three sons, Bill Weir (Helga), Vern Weir and Ernie Weir (Bonnie)
six grandchildren and many special daughter-in-laws, son-in-laws
and grandchildren from previous marriages together with her
mother, Lila Linker and four sisters. Amy was preceded in death by
her father, Harold Linker and husbands, William Weir and Bud
Schroeder.
Amy’s philosophy: Life
is short to wake up with regrets. Love the people who treat you
right. Forget about the ones who don’t. Believe everything
happens for a reason. If you get a chance grab it with both hands,
if it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy.
They just promised it would be worth it.
At her request no
services will be held. Amy’s husband, Robert, together with her
three sons and daughter-in-laws invite all of her friends, other
family members and acquaintances to join them in giving tribute to
her at a party celebration at the home of her best friend, Janice
Basl, on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 3:00 pm at 9020 Basl Hill
Rd. SE. Stayton. In lieu of flowers the family request that
memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Fund
