Margaret Ann Hanke

Stayton – Margaret, 86, died Friday in Stayton. She was born in Long Beach, CA., and lived in southern California until moving to Stayton 1 year ago. Margaret worked as a crossing guard for 30 years and cared for others. She was crafty enough to turn garage saleing into a business. Margaret married Ernst Hanke on October 29, 1946 in Long Beach, CA., he preceded her in death on March 20, 2009. She was a member of the Girls Scouts of America, ASPCA, and National Wildlife Federation. Margaret is survived by Daughter: Chris (Jeff) Lawrence of Lyons; Granddaughter: Jessica Lawrence of Lyons; Grandson: Erik (Katie) Lawrence of Sublimity; Nieces: Cheri Roldan and Claire Holmes both of Los Angeles, CA. and Nephew: Lance Holmes of Lancaster, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents: Guy and Laura Morrison and sister Marian Holmes. Private family services will be held. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton, Oregon
