Stayton
- Carl, 80, died
Wednesday in Stayton. He was born in Marysville, Idaho. Carl grew
up in Idaho and Washington and moved to Stayton in 1964. He rode
the Rodeo circuit and on cattle ranches in Montana and was an avid
hunter. Carl served in the US Army during the Korean War. He
worked in the seed cleaners for Santiam Farmers and later Wilco
from 1964-1992. Carl served on the Stayton Fire Department from
1965-1979. He worked as an EMT from 1964 -2004 for Santiam
Ambulance. Carl was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-Day Saints, Stayton Ward. He married Dorothy Hill on
December 10, 1950 in Weiser, Idaho.
Carl
is survived by his wife: Dorothy of Stayton; Sons: Dewayne (Leathy)
Hansen of Missoula, MT, Rodney (Loraine) Hansen of Aumsville,
Jerry (Denise) Hansen of Salem, and Doug (Tori) Hansen of Mehama;
Daughters: Rosemarie Johnson of Philomath, Lori (Randy) Gray of
West Stayton, and Debbie Bierbower of Salem; Brothers: Glen Legler
of Eugene and Clyde Hansen of Milton-Freewater; Sisters: May
Palmer of Murtaugh,ID and Neola Martinez of Twin Falls, ID.; 21
grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Viewing
will be from 10:00 – 10:45am Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Stayton, followed
by services at 11:00 am. Interment in Lone Oak Cemetery in
Stayton. Serving the family, North
