Irene L. Korostynski
January 15, 1920 – January 26, 2010

Sublimity – Irene, 90, died Tuesday in Sublimity. She was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. Irene lived many years in Coos Bay and then in Stayton and later moved to Sublimity. She worked for over 50 years as a nurse at Santiam Memorial Hospital and Marian Estates. Irene was a member of Mehama Community Church, Mehama Womens Fellowship and the Salem Choir. She enjoyed singing, house setting and crocheting.

Irene was very involved with her church, helping in the summer with vacation bible school and choirs. She was a prayer warrior and did missionary work for many years.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Korostynski. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and special friends Bruce and Bonnie Matthis. Memorial services will be Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Mehama Community Church in Mehama. Contributions may be made to Mehama Community Church Missions.
