Alberta “Jo” Marchant
August 18, 1931 – July 17, 2010

Scio – Jo, 78, died Saturday in Albany. She was born in Las Animas, CO., where she grew up. Jo lived most of her adult life in San Jose moving to Scio in 1991. She worked as a legal secretary for over 25 years. Jo owned and operated an antique shop in Lebanon for 10 years. She was a member of  Scio Christian Church, the Red Hat Club, and very involved with Scio Museum and Historical Society. Jo loved her animals and flower plants. She also loved John Wayne, enjoyed antiquing a going to garage sales. 

Jo is survived by son and daughter-in-law: Rick & Mary Jo Taylor of Denver, CO.; Granddaughter & Grandson-in-law: Cara & Kevin Lucas of San Jose, CA.; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Memorial Service will be Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 11:00 am at Scio Christian Church.
