Lyons – Luther
“Bud”, 83, passed away peacefully with his family surrounding
him in Salem. He was born in Lake Andes, South Dakota to Luther
and Violet Sell Miley. Bud lived in South Dakota for 25 years
moving to the Willamette Valley in 1952 and to the Santiam Canyon
in 1955. He worked as a school custodian for the North Santiam
School District for over 27 years. Bud was a member of Stayton
Christian Church in Stayton. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and
making knives. Bud married Doris Oleson on May 26, 1945 in Wagner,
South Dakota.
He is survived by his
wife Doris of Lyons; Children: Robert (Marg) Miley of Miami, FL.,
James (Deborah) Miley of Lyons, Karen (Mike) Masser of Shaw, Don
(Jeanette) Miley of Sublimity, David (Donna) Miley of Stayton,
Thomas (Korin) Miley of Salem and Wayne (Kathy) Miley of Lyons.
Sisters: Versie Reandeau of Warroad, MN. and Bonnie (Lawrence)
Chytka of Lyons; Brother: Marty (Joyce) Miley of Salem.
Grandchildren – 45 and 35 – Great – grandchildren.
Services Tuesday, August
10 at 2:00pm
at Stayton Christian Church in Stayton. Interment in Lone
Oak II Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the
Stayton Christian Church or the charity of your choice. Serving
the family, North Santiam
