Melva “Mo” M. (Babb) Stigen

March 24, 1954 – December 18, 2010

Scio OR– Mo, 56, died December 18 in Salem. She was born in Braham, MN. and lived most of her life in Minnesota until moving to Scio OR in 1988. Mo worked for many years as a caregiver. She was a pitcher for women’s and coed softball teams in Minnesota. Mo enjoyed taking care of grandkids and was a creative memories consultant for scrapbooking photos. She married Jerry Stigen on February 5, 1972 in Grasston, MN.

Mo is survived by her husband Jerry of Scio OR; children: Melanie Stigen of Stayton OR, Tony Stigen of Albany OR, and Terry Stigen of Scio OR, Brothers: Randy, Jim, Rodney, John, Rex and Jeff Babb; Sisters: Mary Lange, Marie Hoppe, Marti Reynolds, Marsha Knoll and Melissa Davis; and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; Parents; John Wesley Babb (Wes) and Marguerite Babb (Peggy) and her sister Victoria.

Memorial services will be Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 am at the ZCBJ Hall in Scio OR and at 1:00 pm at the East Central Energy Auditorium in Braham, MN. Lunch will be served. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton OR.
