Salem – Dorothy, 75,
died June 4 in Salem. She was born in Sidney, IA. Dorothy lived in
Sweet Home, Lincoln City, Sutherlin, Albany and the last 24 years
in Salem. She was a devoted wife and mother. Dorothy enjoyed
watching bullriding, listening to country music, sewing, painting,
cooking, canning, going to garage sales and spoiling her
grandchildren. She married Robert Ashley Brockway on September 13,
1969 in Lincoln City, he preceded her in death on February 5,
2009.
Dorothy is survived by
daughters: Kim Cunio of Salem, Kelly Allen of Gillette, WY., Susan
Campbell of Sutherlin, Judy Cunio, Brandy Brockway and Millie
Young all of Salem; brothers: Bob Taylor of OR., and John Taylor
of Alaska; sisters: Joanne VanBelle of OR., Linda
Swimley of MT., Betty Gourley of OR., and Ruby Womack of
WA.; 14 – grandchildren; 4 – great-grandchildren and 1
great-great-granddaughter. Graveside service were held Thursday,
June 9, 2011 at 1:30 pm at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home.
