Stayton
– Colleen, 77, died Sunday
in Stayton. She was born in Gardenia, CA.
the third child of Everett and Francis Crouch. She grew up in
Humbug and
Yreka, CA., graduating from high school in Bieber, CA. She lived
for many
years in Bieber, CA. until moving to Stayton in 1976. Colleen was
a member
of Willamette Valley Baptist Church in Aumsville and the
Gideon’s Auxiliary.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading, cooking, traveling, rock
collecting, collecting dishes, and remodeling something good to
make it even better.
Colleen
married Chet Babcock on May
28, 1951 in Reno, NV. They
worked a cattle ranch in Bieber, CA. for 25 years. He preceded her
in death
on February 22,
2002. Her sister Ethel Beck also preceded her in death. She
married Tom Canaga on October
15, 2005 in Stayton. Colleen is survived by
her husband; Tom of Stayton: daughter; Martha (Gordon) Wilson of
Stayton;
sons: Daryl (Della) Babcock of Salem and Stephen Babcock of
Lebanon; step-sons: Terry (Margaret) Canaga of Hillsboro and Wes
(Theresa) Canaga of Dallas; brother: Lee Crouch of Redding, CA.;
sister: Jacqueline Dooley of
Yreka, CA.; 10 grandchildren; Sarah (Doug) Richardson, Jeremy

will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm at
North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton. Funeral service will be
Friday, November 18,
2011 at 1:00 pm at Grace Bible Church with graveside to follow at
Hillside Cemetery both in NuBieber, CA. A memorial service will be
Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11:00 am at Willamette Valley Baptist
Church in Aumsville. Contributions may be made to the Bus Ministry
at Willamette Valley Baptist Church in Aumsville in her memory.
