Stayton – Ikaika, 22,
died Wednesday in Salem. He was born in Honolulu, HI., and grew up
there until moving to Stayton in 2000. Ikaika loved his kids very
much, and was loved by all. He enjoyed playing basketball,
surfing, snowboarding, and backyard volleyball. Ikaika married
Cayla Marvin on September 26, 2009 in Stayton.
He is survived by his
wife: Cayla of Stayton. Father and step-mother: Maurice and Tina
Kaaihue Sr. of Stayton; Mother Renee Evangelista of Waianae, HI.;
children: Kawika and Kiana Evangelista of Stayton; brothers:
Maurice Jr., James, Kekoa and Jacob Kaaihue all of Stayton;
sisters: Pua and Shyla Evangelista both of Stayton and Kaylee Kaaihue of
Stayton; nieces and nephews: Gage, Niko, Mijah, Colt, Alize and
Ioane.
Memorial service will be
Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Church of God of Prophecy
10637 West Stayton Rd SE Aumsville. Serving the family, North
