Sublimity – Thelma,
94, died Saturday in Stayton. She was born in Lyons at Mountain
Home Farm to John and Alta Trask, moving to the farm in Sublimity
in 1938. Thelma was the youngest of seven children, who are all
deceased. She married Herman Gescher in 1938, he preceded her in
death in 1980. They enjoyed fishing and hunting together, and she
was an avid reader. Thelma and Herman farmed together for many
years in Sublimity.
She is survived by three
children: Don (Darlene) Gescher, Gary (Aggie) Gescher and Judy
(Bill) Welter; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 3
great-great-grandchildren.
Recitation of rosary
will be Friday, January 28, 2011 at 7:00 pm and Mass of Christian
Burial will be Saturday, January, 29, 2011 at 11:00 am both at St.
Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity, where she was a member.
Interment in St. Boniface Cemetery in Sublimity. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be made to Regis High School or St. Mary
Elementary School. Serving the family, North
