Jefferson
– Bruce, 80, died August 14 in Corvallis. He was born in
Clatskanie, living in Jefferson since 1987. Bruce worked as a
truck driver for 45 years. He was a member of the Eagles in
Albany, American Legion post #51 in Lebanon, the Morning Star
Grange, and the Jefferson Jammers, which he organized the weekly
jam session. Bruce enjoyed playing music on his bass guitar,
fishing and hunting. He married Joann Sears on December 28, 1979
in Corvallis.
Bruce
is survived by his wife: Joann of Jefferson; daughters: Peggy
(David) of Jefferson,Vicky (Karl) of Jefferson, Bonnie of
Colorado, Nena of Idaho, Twila of Georgia, Lori of Portland,
Michelle of Hawaii and Jodi of Bend; sons: Steve (Mary) of
Jefferson, Charles of Salem, and Monte of Idaho; sister: Wahkeena
(Vance) of West Port; 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son Ralph.
Memorial
service will be Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 6: 00 pm at Morning
Star Grange in Millersburg. Serving the family, North
Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
