Sublimity – Lilamae,
89, died May 12 in Stayton. She was born and raised in Seattle,
WA. Lilamae and her husband Frank moved to Myrtle Point in 1947,
where she resided until moving to the Stayton/Sublimity area in
2006. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Myrtle
Point and was very active serving on the Altar guild. Lilamae was
an auxiliary member of Coquille Valley Elks and the Coos County
Rose society. She enjoyed playing bridge, golfing and gardening. Lilamae married Francis C. Meldrum on April 10,
1945 in Seattle, WA., he preceded her in death in 1992.
She is survived by son:
John and his wife Lea Meldrum of Stayton; daughter: Susan and her
husband David Ager of Klamath Falls; grandchildren: Stacy and her
husband Darin Owens of Sherwood and Ryan Meldrum of Miami, FL.;
great-grandchildren: Sydney and Tye McCarthy of Sherwood. Lilamae
was preceded in death by her brother, John (Jack) Cave in 1956.
Memorial services will
be Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 4:00 pm at St. Edward’s Episcopal
Church 211 W. Center St. Silverton, where she was a member. In
lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
