Michael C. Nemchick
April 7, 1931 – February 24, 2011

Stayton – Michael, 79, died Thursday, February 24 in Stayton. He was born in Bethlehem, PA., where he grew up. Michael moved to Corvallis in 1953, living in Albany, Corvallis and Gresham before moving to Stayton in 1993. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Michael worked as an inspector for Boeing in Portland for over 20 years. He was an avid golfer, and he also enjoyed fly fishing. Michael attended Calvary Lutheran Church in Stayton. He married Joan Reger on November 22, 1975 in Gresham.

Michael is survived by his wife: Joan of Stayton; daughter: Cynthia Petrovich of Anchorage, AK.; step-sons: Thomas Reger of Albany and Martin Reger of Corvallis; sister: Mary Ann Kametz of Bethlehem, PA.; 5 – grandchildren and 3 – great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Stayton.  Contributions may be made to Willamette Valley Hospice. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
