Wilma Rositzke
October 5, 1917 – January 5, 2011

Sublimity – Wilma, 93, died January 5, 2011 in Sublimity. She was born in Sublimity. Wilma left home at 15 to work in Portland. During WWII she met Ernest Rositzke, they married on June 3, 1944 in Salinas, KS. After WWII they moved to New York to open delicatessens and other businesses. Wilma and Ernest retired to Florida in their early 50’s. They enjoyed traveling and golfing. She moved back to her birthplace in 1999 after her husband’s passing, and was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Marian Estates Auxiliary. Wilma enjoyed spending time with  her daughter and grandchildren, going to bingo, doing crafts and taking her daily strolls.

She is survived by her daughter: Barbara Kerr of Dallas and 4 grandchildren: Heather, Daniel, Douglas & Devin Kerr all of New York. Wilma was the last member of her generation of Ditter family. She was preceded in death by sisters: Loretta Sullens and Alma Kline;  and brothers: George “Sparky”, Raymond and Philip Ditter.

Rosary will be Friday, January 14, 2011 at 12:30 pm and  Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:00 pm both St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity. Entombment will be in Boynton Beach Mausoleum, Boynton Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Boniface Church or St. Mary Elementary School. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
