Stayton –Brad, 56,
passed away April 10 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was
born in Salem Oregon on December 16, 1954 to Leonard and Ellen
Schumacher. He grew up on a farm outside of Stayton. He attended
St. Mary’s elementary and graduated from Regis High School in
1973.
He worked several years
for Frank Lumber, and then worked for the Oregon State Lottery
first as a field tech, then as a tech support.
Brad was preceded in
death by his father Leonard in 1978. He is survived by his mother
Ellen Fehlen, daughter Heidi Schumacher, son Nick Schumacher,
sisters Danell Rauch and Debbie Collette, brothers Doug and Don,
and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to
thank Dr. William Pierce and his staff at the Salem Hospital for
the many hours of care and support, and Odyssey Hospice.
Recitation of rosary will be Sunday, April 17 at 7:00 pm and Mass
of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 18 at 10:00 am both at
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where he was a member.
