Charlene Marie Schmitz Boucher
September 27, 1936 – December 14, 2012

Gresham –Charlene,76, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, December 14, 2012, at Oregon Health and Science University. She was born at the Brown House, in Stayton, to Joseph and Opal (Lambrecht) Schmitz, Charlene graduated from Stayton Union High School and married Leonel Boucher on June 2, 1955, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Stayton. They started their family in Albany, and moved to Lebanon in 1966, where they were members of St. Edwards Catholic Church. She moved to Gresham in 2008.

Charlene was a homemaker who was dedicated to her children and her husband throughout her life. She loved to read, appreciated the beauty of flowers, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Charlene was preceded in death by her husband, Leonel, parents, and brother, Cletus Schmitz. She is survived by her children, Gary Boucher and wife, Veta; Diana Wake; Lynn Dee Bauer and husband, Greg; Lois Stickell and husband, Trent; Scott Boucher and wife, Christine; and Renee Elligott and husband, Bob.  Charlene is also survived by brother, Bob Schmitz and  wife, Shirley;  sister, Beatrice Toepfer and  husband, Lee;  sister-in-law, Betty Schmitz; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be Wednesday, December 19, 2012 from 2-8 pm at North Santiam Funeral Service. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Stayton. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Stayton. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
