Rosina A. Harksen
September 20, 1922 – July 11, 2012

Sublimity – Rosina, 89, died Wednesday in Sublimity.  She was born in St. Kilian, MN to Ferdinand and Katherine Hartmann and moved to Sublimity at an early age where she lived most of her life. Rosina worked for Silver Falls Café and later Berdino’s in Sublimity for six years and as a veterinarian assistant for Dr. Ray Heuberger for 15 years. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Altar Society, the Eagles and Women of the Moose.

Rosina enjoyed traveling, especially to the coast and central Oregon, camping and hunting. She married Marvin Harksen on November 27, 1942 in Olympia, WA. 

Rosina is survived by her husband, Marvin of Sublimity; children, Rose (Gary) Witmer of Keizer, Marvelene (Joseph) Gross of St. Helens, Ron (Rosanne) Harksen of Sublimity, Roxanne Harksen of Stayton and Michelle (Ron) Wanner of Seaside; brother, Mel (Carmen) Hartmann of Salem; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Rosina was preceded in death by a daughter, Maralee Bennett, brother, Darrel Hartmann and sisters, Angeline Harold and Marianne Hartmann.

Recitation of the Rosary will be Tuesday, July 17th at 10:30 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity.  Interment will be held at St. Boniface Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to Regis High School or the American Cancer Society. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
