Silverton – Robert, 85, died January
4 in Salem. He was born in Springfield, MO., living many years in
California before moving to the Twilight Court in Silverton 10
years ago. Robert was a mechanic most of his life, and loved
working on cars. He enjoyed trains and planes, and also singing
and playing keyboards and guitar. Robert was a member of the Royal
Gem CBers club in Salem and volunteered at Antique Powerland
Museum in Brooks.
survived by children: Roger Cox of Superior, AZ., Robin White of
Escondido, CA., Rebecca Brown of Post Falls, ID., Robert Cox Jr.
of Acton, CA., and Ronald Cox of Stayton; sister: Norma Schaffer
of Corona, CA.; 13 – grandchildren; numerous
great-grandchildren; and longtime friend and caregiver: Nancy St.
John of Silverton. Private family services will be held.
