Salem – Terry went
home to be with Jesus after a hard fought battle over Stage IV
Glioblastoma Brain Cancer in Salem. His faith, friends and
family were what gave him the strength to journey through this
long trial. Terry’s support group was called “Team
Delamarter” and their motto was “No One Fights Alone.” He was born in Portland, grew up in Springfield and moved to
the Aumsville/Salem area in 1988. Terry worked for the US
Postal Service for 15 years. He was a member of Mt View
Wesleyan Church in Aumsville and his faith was very important
fishing, camping, golfing, being with his family and children,
and was an avid Oregon Duck football fan. He loved watching
his sons over the years playing football and basketball for
the Cascade Cougars. Terry married Carol Craker on June 18,
1988 in Albany.
He is survived by
his wife: Carol of Salem; children: Kyler Delamarter, Joshua
Delamarter & Hannah Delamarter all of Salem; parents:
David & Gaynell Delamarter of Springfield; brothers:
Jeffrey Delamarter of Eugene and Brian Delamarter of Redmond.
A private family
graveside service will be held. A celebration of life will be
Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Aldersgate in Turner at 4:00 pm.
