Nicholas Joseph Jolly, 19, died Saturday in Turner. He was
born in Salem on December 8, 1993. Nicholas was 6lbs. 8oz. had
a thick full head of hair. He was darling from the start.
Nicholas attended Mary Eyre Elementary through the 2nd grade.
Then his family moved to Jefferson in 2002 and he attended
school from 3rd grade until he graduated in 2012, he went to
Jefferson school district.
Nicholas loved his
family, friends, school and teachers. He farmed during the
summers, while in high school, for Gary Hofflich. After
graduating, Nicholas went to work with is older brother, Chris
for Petro Chem. He led a very active life. Nicholas enjoyed it
to the fullest. He played basketball and did 4-H with his
horse, Candy. Nicholas was an avid fisherman, hunter and
enjoyed riding dirt bikes and welding. He touched the lives
with whom anyone he met. From his half cocked smile full grin.
Nicholas was joyful and loved unconditionally. He was easy to
please. Nicholas loved his Mom’s homemade dinners and his
Nana’s baked cookies. He looked up to his father and older
brother, Chris. Nick always found the time to look out for his
little sister, Emily.
He is survived by
his parents: Bill & Karin Jolly of Jefferson;
grandmothers: Sally “Nana” McCracken of Stayton and Judy
Jolly of Lake Arrowhead, CA.; brother: Christopher Jolly &
Fiance’ Makayla and their daughter, Rylee of Jefferson;
sister: Emily Jolly of Jefferson; half-brother: Justin Miller
of Jefferson; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, whom he
loved very much and his beloved dog, Hershey.
Viewing will be
Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 3-7 pm at North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton. Memorial service will be Friday,
June 14, 2013 at 11:00 am at Jefferson Baptist Church in
Jefferson. Contributions may be made to Sterling Savings Bank
in Jefferson in Nicholas’ name. Serving the family, North
