Salem – Violet,
91, died June 24 in Salem. She was born in Barlow and was
raised in the Salem area, moving to Gresham in 1972, Canby in
1988, Sublimity in 2008 and Salem 1 year ago.
Violet was a member
of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Stayton. She
volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul food bank in Canby.
Violet enjoyed square dancing, golfing, crafts, cooking and
gardening. She married William Kruger in March of 1943 in
Salem, he preceded her in death in 2004.
Violet is survived
by daughters: Janet (Pete) Klosterman of Sublimity, Mary Olson
of Oregon City, Susan (Mike) Wilson of Tacoma, WA., Elaine
(Pat) Young of Albany, Judy (Don) \Jacobs of Ellensburg, WA.,
and Teresa (Greg) Brown of Kennewick, WA.; daughter-in-law:
Ann Nora Kruger of Sisters; 20 grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son: Bill
Kruger in 2006, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Mass of Christian
Burial will be Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 10:00 am at Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church in Stayton. Interment will be on
Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 10:00 am at Willamette National
Cemetery in Portland. Contributions may be made to your own local
