Robert “Bob” Lierman

December 29, 1926 – April 30, 2013

Silverton – Robert died at his home in Victor Point on April 30, 2013 at the age of 86. He was born in Waco, Nebraska, to Lawrence and Velura Lierman, moving to Oregon in 1937 and to Silverton in 1952. Robert served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked as a grass seed farmer for 30 years, from 1952 until retiring in 1982.

Robert was a member of Union Hill Grange and the Elks. He served on the Bent Grass Commission, Victor Point School Board, Union Hill Cemetery Board. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting and woodworking. He married Lucille Jaquet on October 14, 1950 in Pratum, she preceded him in death in 2009.

Robert is survived by children: Steve (Mary) Lierman of Silverton and Linda (Michael) Czapla of Mt. Angel; brother Wayne Lierman of Stayton; 8 grandchildren and 2  great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Letha Lierman.

Memorial service will be Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11:00 am at Oak Street Church in Silverton. Private interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery in Silverton. Contributions may be made to Oak St. Church in Silverton or Odyssey Hospice. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
