Edouard C Pommé
May 31,1922- August 5, 2013

Stayton- Husband and Father passed away surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife Virginia and their blended family, including Edouard B. Pommé, Michelle Byington, Joe Pommé, Victoria Gregonis, Edward Artis, Paul Artis, Marie Levine, Terry Crosswhite, Adrienne Hebison, Gabrielle Erken, Thomas Artis, Lita Artis, along with numerous grandchildren and great grand children. He was preceded in death by his first wife Joan Pommé, his son Francis X Pommé and grandsons Edward Artis, Matthew Crosswhite, and granddaughters Gay Pommé and Marta Pommé.

Ed was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War where he received the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and other meritorious ribbons. He retired from the Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel. Ed was a teacher with two Masters Degrees from the University of Idaho. He taught at Monroe grade school in Boise, ID., and Riley Creek School in Gold Beach from which he retired and moved to his lake house in Idaho. He moved to Stayton in 2002 where he remained until his death. During his retirement, Ed indulged in his passion of fine woodworking.  Public examples of his skill are located in Idaho and Oregon churches.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Stayton at 9:30 am on Monday August 12, 2013. Internment will be at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland immediately following the service. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
