Marvin A. Craig Jr.

October 7, 1946 – October 25, 2014

Stayton – Marvin, 68, died October 25 in Salem. He was born in Cape Girardeau, MO. Marvin served in the US Army in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War, moving to Powell Butte after his service and then living in Lyons for many years. He worked as a chip truck driver for Stuckart and later as a Hyster driver for Cascade Warehouse

Marvin was a member of the Moose and Eagles Lodges. He loved his family and was a devoted husband and father. Marvin enjoyed bowling, ocean fishing and feeding birds. He married Myrna on March 24, 1972 in Stayton.

Marvin is survived by his wife: Myrna of Stayton; children: Susan Baggett of Scio and Michael Craig of Bend; brother: Scott Craig of Bend; sisters: Charlotte Craig, Janet Craig and Kim Barnett all of Terrebonne; and four grandchildren; Marvin was preceded in death by one grandson.

No services will be held at his request. Contributions may be made to Providence Children’s Hospital, Portland. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
