79, passed away Monday, March 17, surrounded in the love of
his family and welcomed into heaven by his wife of 45 years,
Dolores, who waited 12 years for him to join her. Their
children are Tom and Sharon Etzel, Diane and Steve North, F.
John and Sacha Etzel, Sandra and Kevin Raschko, and Janet and
Paul Odenthal. Grandchildren—Stephanie and Robby, Matthew
and Erica, Natalie, Brittney, Chad, Kawika, Makua, Hannah,
Adam, Alyssa, Andy, Joanna, Julia and Daniel.
Great-grandsons--Liam and Noah. Siblings--Sister Ruth Etzel,
Donnie Etzel, Duane Bradley and Bennie Silbernagel. He was
predeceased by his parents Frank and Anna Etzel and his
sisters Mary Ann Silbernagel and Jeanne Bradley.
treasured his family, showing his love by providing for them
and in the way he lived his life. He worked at Stuckart Lumber
Company and the City of Salem but his passion was the Family
Century Farm. It is hard to think of Dad without thinking of
the farm. His pride in the place shows in the loving care he
took of the land and animals.
Dad was known for his grin, his hospitality, and his
