Branny James Getz
March 22, 1983 - March 6, 2014

Branny James Getz passed away on March 6, 2014 in Medford, Oregon after suffering a severe asthma attack. He was 30 years of age.

Branny was born on March 22, 1983 in Portland, Oregon, the son of Tina Brusasco and Brad Getz. Branny was raised in the Beaverton area after his parents divorced several years later. He later relocated to his motherís hometown of Mill City, attending Santiam High School. He finished high school at Stayton after his mother married Mike Carr, the little family settling in the Stayton OR area.

Branny had a wandering and curious soul; traveling from Salem, Oregon to Cordova, Alaska, and then spending several years camping on the beaches of Hawaii. After a trek to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, Branny came home to the Santiam Canyon, finally settling in the Ashland area. Always full of stories to tell and a very gregarious way of telling them, Branny made life-long friends where ever he traveled.

He was blessed with a daughter; Maizey Willow Getz, who was born on the Ďlove holidayí, February 14, 2011. She was the light of her fatherís eye.

Branny leaves behind many who loved and cherished him; daughter Maizey, mother Tina (Mike) Carr; of Stayton, step-sister, Alisha Carr of Mill City; step-brother, Brandon Carr of Erin, TN; half-sister Kelli Hayes of Mesa Arizona; grandparents, Pete and Riwa Brusasco of Mill City, Barbara Getz of Forest Grove and Jerry and Kathy Carr of Sublimity; beloved aunties and uncles, Tree and Mark Fredrickson of Mill City, Tammy Brusasco of Lebanon, Angie and Butch Clark, Minta Sloan, Branny Katlong and Danny Katlong, all of Mill City, Bill and Deborah Burton of Forest Grove, Bill and Desiree Peoples of Hillsboro and his many cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday March 11, 2014 at 1:00 pm at New Hope Community Church on 657 N 2nd Ave Stayton OR. Everyone is invited to attend. Branny will be laid to rest in the Fox Valley Cemetery in Lyons OR at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to his daughter Maizey in honor of Branny. Donations can be mailed to: Tina Carr PO Box 652 Stayton OR 97383. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
