Roy “Bill” A. Hatch

December 8, 1927 – September 1, 2014

Scio – Bill, 86, died September 1 in Corvallis. He was born in American Fork, UT, moving to Oregon in 1958, living in Albany, Tangent and then Scio for the last 48 years. Bill worked at Wah Chang for over 30 years as a pipefitter. He was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints, Stayton Ward and American Legion Post #10 in Lebanon. Bill enjoyed farming, he had a tremendous work ethic, and was supporter of Linn County 4 H with cows and pigs. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.

Bill married Bonnie McDaniel on July 9, 1956 in Provo, UT. He is survived by his wife: Bonnie of Scio; Sons: William (Laura) Hatch of New York and Craig (Nicole) Hatch of Lafayette; sisters: Ora Crane of Draper, UT, Gayle Luciano of Naples, FL, and Mary Kay Smith of Pleasant Grove, UT; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 2:30 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Stayton Ward. Private interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Linn County 4 H. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
