Madge M. Boedigheimer
December 8, 1929 May 2, 2015

Turner Madge, 85, died Saturday, May 2 in Salem. She was born in Milnor, ND, and moved to Oregon with her family in 1937. Madge grew up learning to hunt with her brothers and later taught her husband and sons. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, canning, beekeeping, family genealogy and watching the birds out her window at the family farm.

For many years Madge enjoyed helping students at Cloverdale School in Turner as a Title 1 instructional aide. Madge was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Salem and the last few years was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity. She was a member of DAR Abigail Scott Duniway Chapter in Stayton. Madge married Robert Boedigheimer on August 21, 1948 in Salem; he preceded her in death on January 23, 1989.

She is survived by sons:  Steven F. (Mary Kay) Boedigheimer of Turner, Mike (Mary) Boedigheimer of Turner and Dale (Shari) Boedigheimer of Salem; granddaughters: Jennifer, Anna, Kristen and Marisha; grandsons: Steven A., Patrick and John; 7 great-grandchildren, (8th on the way). Madge was preceded in death by brothers: Fred, Willard and David Samples, and sister Doris Henness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 11, 2015, 10:00 am at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity. Private Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Stayton. Contributions may be made to DAR or OHSU Cancer Research. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
