- Guy passed away suddenly on March 14, 2015 at his home. Guy was born in Portland, attended elementary school in Salem
before moving to Stayton. Guy graduated from Stayton High School in 1978.
In 1980 Guy moved to Central Oregon to operate a
Chevrolet auto dealership with his father.
Guy and his dad shared a true love of cars.
They collected and restored many. In 1980 Guy married Tracy Minden.
Together they had two beautiful children.
After selling the car dealership, Guy and Tracy moved
to Oregon City and then returned back to the Salem area in
1990. Guy worked
in the auto collision repair field, with the last 24 years as
general manager for J&M Auto Body.
greatest passion was his family.
They spent a great deal of time together with many
outdoor activities including snowboarding, waterskiing, and
ATV riding. However
many weekends you would find him puttering around in his shop,
working on one vehicle or another, or one of the many honey-do
projects his wife would find for him around the house.
He was creative, taking a piece of junk and repurposing
it into something unique. His artistic passion came from his Mom.
was preceded in death by his father in 2008.
His mother, Donna resides in Central Oregon. Guy is survived by his wife Tracy, daughter Minda
(Brian Johnson) and son Drew (Stephanie). Guy was a very proud grandpa to his new twin
granddaughters, Millie and Reagan.
Guy’s sister Cynthia lives in Bremerton, Washington. Guy had 5 nieces and nephews (Erik, Alexis, Andrea,
Chad, and Justin) who always referred to him as Unky.
Guy had countless close friends.
He will be truly missed by all.
