Gary L. Gescher
December 15, 1940 – March 8, 2015

Stayton – Gary, 74, died Sunday, March 8 at home. He was born in Salem and lived all of his life in the Sublimity area. Gary worked for 40 years as Mill Supervisor at Frank Lumber Co. in Mill City. He served in the US Army.

Gary was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity, being very devoted to his faith he served as Eucharistic Minister delivering communion to the homebound. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and being outdoors. Gary’s loves were his Lord, his family and his nation. He married Aggie Bischoff on September 16, 1961 in Salem.

Gary is survived by his wife: Aggie of Stayton; children: Greg (Karen) Gescher of Eugene, Todd (Brenda) Gescher of Sublimity, and Lisa (Chris Whitney) Gescher of Salem; sister: Judy Welter of Sublimity; grandchildren: Patrick, Meghan, Brendan, Drew, Nikki, Tara, Jack and Charlie. He was preceded in death by his brother, Don.

Rosary will be Saturday, March 14, at 11:00 am followed by Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 am both at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sublimity. Interment will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regis High School and St. Mary Elementary School, Stayton. Serving the family, North Santiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
